Under the leadership of the Marketing Director, I was been active in the marketing and communications process for the College of Arts & Letters (CAL). My role as a Social Media and Communications Strategist for the Marketing and Communications Office at the College of Arts & Letters, taught me how to adapt to a brand, create diverse and unique content that reaches a key audience, and work on a team of collaborative creators.

My day-to-day tasks include creating content for the College’s social media, writing articles that highlight students, faculty, alumni, and happenings, and managing the website, especially the news section.

 Highlights from my work include:

  • Building the Excel Network website

  • Carrying out a research project to assess and improve internal communication in the College

  • Aiding the Deans at MSU initiative to help increase communication between deans, university, and public

  • Helping shape external communication addressing the sexual misconduct at MSU

  • Producing the Class of 2021 Freshman Colloquium Welcome video
