VIM Magazine is the go to publication for all things fashion, health and beauty, and lifestyle at MSU. VIM is registered student organization at MSU. It is published in print bi-yearly in the Fall and Spring semesters, and published digitally each month. Once printed and published, VIM is distributed to students at no cost.
As the Managing Editor for VIM, I oversee all of the copy and developmental editing as well as all of those involved in editing the magazine. I mainly work with the Editor-in-Chiefs, the Copyediting Director, and the Editing Team of six. Together we work to create a publication that is clean, clear, and concise. My team and I make sure that all errors are erased from the publication so that VIM shows its best face to MSU and beyond.
Before I was the Managing Editor of VIM, I was the Copyediting Director where I oversaw the copy edits of the publication as well as a team of five. Before I was given a director role, I was a part of the Editing Team where I edited articles that covered all areas of VIM.
Highlights from my work include:
Working and collaborating with 50+ people to create VIM
Leading a team of editors
Collaborating with the Editor-in-Chiefs, content teams, and art team to determine article topics and design
Organizing the editing schedule for the digital and print issues
Reviewing all edits for the final proof
